LOVE IN ACTION

It’s easy to love people who feel familiar to us. Friends, family, and people in our circle naturally receive our time, care, and attention.

But Biblical hospitality goes further.

In Scripture, hospitality means love of strangers. It’s not just welcoming people we enjoy being around, it’s choosing to move toward outsiders, difficult people, and those we might normally keep at a distance.

Romans 12 paints that picture clearly: "rejoice with people, mourn with them, live at peace, meet needs, and overcome evil with good." This kind of love is personal, practical, and often uncomfortable.

Real hospitality isn’t just kind thoughts or good intentions. It looks like making space for people, noticing them, and showing tangible care.

Why? Because Jesus did that for us first.

At one time, we were strangers to God, yet Christ welcomed us in. That’s the kind of love we’re called to live out—love in action!
