I Will Still Praise

Life doesn't always make sense.
That was Habakkuk's reality. He looked around and saw violence, injustice, and suffering. He cried out to God, asking, Why? Instead of receiving all the answers he wanted, Habakkuk learned something even greater, God was still in control.
By the end of the book, nothing had changed around him. The crops were still failing. The fields were still empty. The future was still uncertain.
However, Habakkuk makes one of the most powerful declarations in Scripture: "Though the fig tree should not blossom...yet I will rejoice in the Lord."
Praise isn't pretending everything is okay. It's choosing to trust God even when life isn't.
Anyone can praise when life is easy. Faith grows when we praise in the waiting, in the questions, and in the uncertainty.
Our circumstances may change, but God's character never does.
Today, whatever you're facing, let Habakkuk's words become your prayer: "I will still praise."
